Party Like a Rock Star!!!

It was a little more than a year again that I helped my friend, Laura, with her daughter's Fancy Nancy party. This year, Laura asked for my help again to plan M's 4th bday party with a rock star theme. It was a fun theme that felt welcoming to both boys and girls who were invited to the party. Below are some of the decorative highlights from the party.

I made this "Rock Star" banner using plastic records and my Cricut to cut the zebra circles and pink sparkly letters.

Disco ball ornaments were hung from the ceiling as well as star garlands (also cut with my Cricut).

This is a cupcake liner topiary that I created. My inspiration was a microphone.

It was a cool and fun party for a special little girl!

Love Birds

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I thought it would be a perfect time to celebrate this fun holiday with a shabby chic "Love Birds" theme! I Incorporated a few DIY projects, re-purposed a few items I owned, made a few small purchases and Voila! my table came together

I bought these adorable pink heart frames and made place cards using printables from The Shy Socialites.

The salad plates were decapaged using a pink Valentine's tissue paper. For the chargers, I added heart shaped flower petals around the edges for a more feminine feel.
Mason jar held pink lemondae and were adorned with beaded ribbon and a heart embellishment. The striped straw also had a love bird tag attached.

These cupcake poms were another DIY project. All you need to make them are cupcake wrappers, a styrofoam ball, and a glue gun. You can find a tuorial from How Does She.

Happy Valentine's Day!
