This year my design inspiration came from my little girl, Laila. I wanted to create a room for her that felt festive but magical. It is her first Christmas where she can enjoy a tree and all of the decorations of the season. I decorated my dining room (with my second hand, my mother in law) in shades of gold, white, and pink.

I wanted the ceiling to be reminiscent of a night sky so I hung star gold glitter star garlands from the ceiling of my great rooms.
On the fireplace I had handmade wands in gold glitter bubble vases. A starry chalkboard sign went over the fireplace and a gold glitter twinkle banner hung from the mantle.
I made my own centerpieces using roses and gold planters with gold glitter wands. I used pink crinkled taffeta linens and gold sequin runners.
Monthly baby pictures of Laila were displayed on bookcases in frames that had gold glitter die cut monthsHand decorated favor bags filled with star themed cookies, went on another bookcase.
We served brunch food such as french toast, mac and cheese, fritatas and bagels. My talented friend, Betsy, made star shaped sandwiches, delicious mini muffins, fruit wands and beautiful star themes cupcakes.

My mother-in-law recently turned 60. Known as "The Queen" of the family, my sister-in-law and I set out to design a party that incorporated all of her favorite things: jewels, crowns, and plenty of sparkle!
We held a "coronation" ceremony complete with a crown and scepter.
Presents fit for a queen!
The cocktail tables had hurricane vases with floating candles, votive candles adorned with jewels, and rose petals.
All of the stationary was designed by Laralee Lewis.
This beautiful cake was made by Konditor Meister.
All of the tables has floating candles in hurricane vases and diamond wrapped vases with hydrangeas and peonies. We used a champagne sequin table runner and gold chargers.
The King and Queen of the day had these beautiful signs at their seats, marking their chairs.
